Trabajo fin de grado: "Accesibilidad web en la industria turística: el caso de los sitios web oficiales promocionales de las islas Canarias"

La alumna Laura Jiménez de León ha presentado su trabajo de fin de grado titulado "Accesibilidad web en la industria turística: el caso de los sitios web oficiales promocionales de las islas Canarias", el trabajo ha sido tutorizado por Doña Noelia Ramón Pérez y el tribunal estuvo formado por: Don Domingo Concepción García, Doña María José Déniz Santana y Doña Nereida Cañado Caparrós.

RESUMEN

El turismo es un sector que moviliza a millones de personas por todo el mundo año tras años, ya sea por ocio, estudios o negocio. Hay personas que desafortunadamente viven con alguna discapacidad, que tienen dificultades para viajar, sobre todo a la hora de localizar información en la web. Canarias como destino no puede quedarse al margen de este hecho si quiere ser un destino de calidad y destacar entre los demás. Es por esta razón, que el presente proyecto tiene como objetivo principal el análisis de la accesibilidad web del destino turístico de Canarias. La herramienta que se ha utilizado para analizar el nivel de accesibilidad web es la TAW. Las conclusiones obtenidas son devastadoras, ya que ninguna de las webs analizadas supera el nivel mínimo de accesibilidad que exige la legislación.

ABSTRACT

Tourism is a segment that mobilizes millions of people around the world yearafter year, whether for leisure, study or business. Unfortunately, there are some people who live with a disability and who presents difficulties for travelling, especially when they need to find out information on the web. The Canary Islands should’t be left out of this fact if they want to be a destination of quality and to stand out among the rest. For this reason, the main objective of this project is to analyse the web accessibility of the Canary Islands as a tourist destination. The tool that has been used in order to analyze the level of web accessibility is called TAW. The conclusions reached are devastating, since none of the websites analysed exceeds the minimum level of accessibility required by the legislation.
